Red or Black ?
Props : 10 Red cards, 10 Black cards, 5 blades and a magnet.
MAGIC : Show 10 playing cards to the audience and keep them in 10 envelopes. Announce that you can identify the colours just by touching the envelope. Probably the audience may not believe your words, but you can prove it by demonstrating it. Furthermore, you can do this trick, when your hands are behind your back. Just with a touch, you can identify whether the cover consists a red or black card.
SECRET : You have to prepare the cards at least one day before the show. Place five red cards on the table face down, and lay one razor blade on the middle of each card. Well, now glue another card face down over it in perfect alignment, so that the cards appear like an ordian-ary card. Now prepare another five black cards in the same way, but without blades. All the cards look identical in size, design and thickness.
Start the show, and display 10 cards, then keep them in 10 envelopes, seal them and pass them among the audience for a check. When they give them back to you. You start the demonstration. Put the cards behind you, take out a small magnet from your hip pocket and separate the red cards from black. The magnet will tell you which envelopes have a red card because the razor blade attracts it even through the card and envelope.
Caution : Razor blades are sharp and always dangerous. Take a little care while hand ling.
